Mindfulness-Based Therapy + Meditation
When your mind won’t slow down and you’re tired of being pulled by it.
If you’re honest, you probably feel exhausted by how much your mind thinks.
It jumps to worst-case scenarios. It replays past moments you wish had gone differently.
It spirals so quickly that by the time you realize what’s happening, you’re already overwhelmed. You may tell yourself to calm down, think positive, or let it go. But that rarely works for long.
At times, it might even feel like you’re not fully here at all. You arrive somewhere and realize you don’t remember the drive. You’re in a conversation but suddenly notice you didn’t actually hear what was said. You move through your days on autopilot, functioning but not fully connected.
Sometimes that’s unsettling (How did I get here?). Other times, it’s heartbreaking; like you’re missing out on the moments and people that matter most. And underneath it all, you may notice how easily you’re pulled by impulses, urges, or cravings—reacting instead of choosing. Part of you wants more freedom. More space. More say in how you live your life.
This work is about creating space and coming home to yourself.
I will teach you techniques for how to stay more present in ordinary moments throughout your day. I will also help you establish a consistent meditation practice where you develop the ability to notice when your mind wanders to the past or future, and are more easily able to bring it back without judgment. The repetition of the practice will actually create new neural pathways in your brain that make it easier to stay in the present and be at peace. Instead of being pulled around by emotions or impulses, you will feel more choice and control in your life.
This type of meditation is also practiced for insight. Many clients are surprised by how much they learn about themselves when they create space to be with their experience instead of numbing, avoiding, or pushing it away. With more insight and clarity, you learn what you’re ready to let go of, what you need to give yourself more of, and how you want to live this one life of yours.
My Approach + Experience
I am a licensed clinical psychologist and certified meditation teacher with extensive experience guiding mindfulness and meditation practices in therapy sessions, as well as leading meditation retreats for deeper insight. I have supported individuals in using meditation to address trauma, anxiety, grief, chronic pain, and addictive behaviors. Mindfulness is not just something I teach. It is a way of living that I actively practice and continually deepen. I maintain a personal meditation practice and attend silent retreats as part of my commitment to presence, depth, and integrity as a teacher. My ongoing practice allows me to hold space for you that is grounded and compassionate.
I enjoy guiding meditation from memory and attunement to what you need rather than a script. That means you get practices that are entirely personalized based on what I know will align most with your current emotions, needs, history, and nervous system. I also encourage audio recording of practices in session so you can benefit from them outside of session too.
